Hoping For a Better Tomorrow

At the end of last semester, we thought we had it down; we knew the campus, the library, we had friends,  we knew how to party on the weekends, we thought we  knew what was required to hang in at a competitive university plus we made it through finals without failing academically. Oh, ya "big kids on campus".

Not so true, the cold weather, harder classes, and other stresses have made that confidence we had falter...just slightly. This week has been rough. However, there are truths to be realized in every aspect of life, here is what we have learned: boys will drive us nuts no matter what, being approachable is harder than it looks (it is actually rather difficult), putting off homework is not the most intelligent course of action (which you don't realize until it is too late), free pizza is fabulous, but eating too much can be detrimental to comfort, homemade tattoos are an opportunity to express individuality, hot tubbing can hit the spot especially when you are trespassing, boots on feet are $50 better than boots on cars, movies are therapeutic, and church on Sunday can be the best part of the week if you let it.

Oh, and troubles are just multiplied when 1/6th of your team is missing. Come home Audro!

Let's hope we can be a little wiser next week...

G6 Out

Saturday Morning Opener

Hello World.
This is the first post of the "Blonde Moments" blog.

Once upon a time there were six beautiful, but very different blonde girls.

One was a  laid back California girl who loved soccer and the beach, yet had a secret nerdy side.

Another was a charming, small town girl from Oregon; she was wise and compassionate.

The most romantic of the six  had the voice of an angel, and an unmatched humor.

One girl, the most exotic, had traveled Europe extensively by the time she was 16.

The state of New Jersey was not even cool enough for one of these ladies, a hottie who charmed the gentleman and made everyone feel important.

The last of these girls had a sense of style, independence, and a love for politics, sailing, cupcakes, and ballet.

They grew up all over the world; they experienced diverse people, places, cultures, and traditions. However, one day it was time for them to leave what they knew and tackle reality.

It was time for college.

All six of these girls happened to pick Brigham Young University as their place of study. If their fates were not bound to be intertwined at this point, they soon would be.  Individually, each girl picked the same apartment to live in. This is when the G6 began.

Alex, Audrey, Emilee, Melissa, Sara, and Meredith have now been roommates for 5 months.  So much of this story has already come to pass, but there is much yet to be written.....this is our story.

We have a lot of wisdom and advice to share with  those who have ever faced the frightening prospect of living with five strangers. It is possible, in fact it is the best thing ever! Holla, don't hate us cuz you ain't us son. Life is a party, get used to it!
